Als Michael Vatcher 2017 das Quartett „1000“ in Richtung NYC verlies, war die Band erschüttert, aber die verbleibenden 3 wollten nicht aufhören. Eine Einladung zum Moers Festival 2018 puschte 1000 zurück in die Aktivität – die „Edition“ 2000 entstand – eine sechsköpfige Ausgabe mit Elisabeth Coudoux – Cello, Steve Swell – Posaune und wiederum Michael Vatcher – Schlagzeug.

When drummer Vatcher left the quartett „1000“ to New York City in 2017 the band was shaken, but none of the remaining three wanted to put an end to this. An invitation to the Moers festival 2018 pushed 1000 back into action – so „2000“ was invented – a six piece edition including Elisabeth Coudoux on cello, Steve Swell on trombone and Michael Vatcher again.em>
